Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can manage your preferences. It is written in plain language so you can understand what is placed on your device and why.

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device — your computer, phone, or tablet — when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work as the visitor expects, to remember choices, and to give the website operator a general picture of how people move through the site.
Cookies do not carry personal data in the way that a form submission does. Most hold a short reference string. Your browser sends this string back to the server on the next visit so the site can recognise the session or your saved settings.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. The section below on browser management explains how to do this for the main browsers in use in Malaysia.
2. Cookie Types We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to operate. They cannot be switched off. Without them, services such as the contact form and the cookie preference memory would not work.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how long a session lasts, and which parts of the site are most useful. The data is aggregated and does not identify individuals.
Marketing Cookies
These cookies support the measurement and delivery of relevant advertising. If enabled, they allow advertising networks to understand whether a visitor later acted on an advertisement shown before visiting this site.
Preference Cookies
These cookies remember choices you have made so you do not need to set them again on your next visit — for example, a selected language or region preference, or a dismissed notice.
3. Your Cookie Preferences
Use the toggles above to set your preferences, then save them below. Your choice is stored in your browser and will be honoured on your next visit.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services used on this website rather than by Tegak Advocate directly. These services have their own privacy policies and cookie practices, which we do not control.
5. Cookie Duration
Session cookies are temporary. They are removed automatically when you close your browser. They hold no information after the session ends.
Persistent cookies remain on your device until their set expiry date or until you delete them through your browser. Durations vary: most preference cookies last 12 months, analytics cookies may last up to 2 years, and marketing cookies are typically set for 13 months.
The cookie consent record stored on your device (key: cookieConsent) lasts 12 months, after which you will be asked again.
6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can control cookies directly through your browser settings. The steps below cover the main browsers used in Malaysia. Note that blocking all cookies may affect how some pages on this site function.
